Accessing Breastfeeding Support Services
- No referral is required to access these supports
- Contact your local Public Health Unit if you need extra support from a lactation consultant with feeding your baby, or if you have questions about your health or the health of your baby.
- Service is available in-person during the week, dependent upon the location but often on a drop-in basis or as a home visit as needed.
- On weekends you can also call the Infant Feeding and New Parent Support Line for necessary support at 1-855-339-6825 (voicemail messages will be returned by a public health nurse within 24 hours).
