A collaborative environment where men work shoulder-to-shoulder to create a variety of projects for themselves and the community.
A Men’s Shed is a community-based, non-profit, non-commercial organization that is accessible to all men and whose primary activity is the provision of a safe and friendly environment where men are able to work on meaningful projects at their own pace in their own time in the company of other men. A major objective is to advance the well-being and health of their male members. It’s an alternate way to reach out, avoid ‘isolation’, find new opportunities and interests, to socialize and work along with other men on activities which give a sense of purpose. Each week members meet up to chat about collaborative community projects, new tool & skill training, and to connect about our lives. Beyond the regular weekly meet-ups, members make time to work at the shop together or on their own.

Men's Sheds take place in various locations throughout BC. Click here to find one near you. With members of all walks of life, and all ages, each Men’s Shed is unique and reflects the ideas of the men who put it together and what they decide the focus should be. Projects and activities offered at Men’s Sheds can include woodwork, metalwork, gardening, photography, guided walking tours, old car restoration and other activities chosen by the members.
