Low-Cost Dental Clinic - Victoria

Dental hygiene students provide professional, preventive, therapeutic, caring, high-quality, and low-cost services.
Dental Hygiene Clinic: Open September through April (Closed May to August).
Clients of all ages and the general public are welcome to visit the in-house dental hygiene clinic at Camosun’s Dental Clinic, open each year from September through April. Personalized care is provided by students under the direction and supervision of licensed faculty. Services offered include:
  • Full assessment
  • Removal of bacterial deposits (tartar)
  • Polishing
  • Fluoride
  • X-rays
  • Sealants
Clients interested in registering with the dental programs’ clinics are asked to commit to attending all scheduled appointments. Adult treatment typically involves a series of approximately 4–6 appointments, each lasting 3 hours. Client commitment ensures that students complete their clinical requirements and graduate as proficient practitioners.

Fees (inclusive of all services) range from free to $60. A full price list is available here.

Certified Dental Assistant Preventive Clinic: Open annually in May.
Each spring, the Certified Dental Assistant preventive clinic offers affordable services to children and young adults. Care is provided by Certified Dental Assistant students under the supervision of qualified faculty. Registered Dental Hygienists are available to provide minimal debridement in select cases. Services offered include:
  • X-rays
  • Fluoride application
  • Sealants
  • Selective polishing of teeth
  • Oral hygiene instruction
Note: Preventive care appointments are 3 hours in length and are held during the week.
