Services Include, but are not limited to, the Following::
- Nursing Support Services are provided to children requiring specialized health care such as tracheostomy care, palliative care, gastrostomy feedings, etc., based on eligibility criteria. This includes assessments, development and implementation of plans, training and monitoring, advocacy, and liaison and consultation with the family, health professionals, school personnel and other service providers.
- Services to Support Women and Families During Pregnancy and the Postpartum Period including ensuring more specific needs are being met, and offering programming and resources to communities unable to access these services due to their location.
- Services to Families and Caregivers of Infants and Preschoolers including programs such as Baby Talk, Toddler Talk, as well as more informal supports, pertaining to relevant topics in addition to requested topics.
- Services to Support Individuals and the Families of School-Age Children by providing linkages within the community and referrals to relevant programs, while collaborating with those involved in the home as well as in the community, including school personnel.
- Communicable Disease Control by ensuring access to Island Health immunizations and vaccines programming, as well as education and counselling on reportable communicable diseases in the community.
