Hospice palliative care is for anyone facing life-threatening illness.No physical address or location. Only mailing address and accessible service by phone
When illness is no longer responsive to treatment aimed at cure, Nakusp Hospice Society offers palliative care, aimed at making the recipient as comfortable as possible. Trained volunteers provide free, confidential support that can include in-home or in-facility/hospital support for clients and families as well as bereavement/grief support after the death of a loved one.

There also two Hospice dedicated beds, one in the acute care section of Arrow Lakes Hospital, and the other in Minto House Extended Care unit when care can no longer be provided at home.
Services include:
- Companion sitting and bedside vigils
- “Breather” time for family members
- One on one grief counselling support
- Group grief counselling support groups
- Assists with advance care planning
- Has a lending resource library
- Companionship such as reading, letter writing, listening without judging or giving advice, respecting personal beliefs
