Provides compassionate emotional, spiritual and practical support for anyone navigating serious illness or experiencing grief.
The Nelson & District Hospice Society enhances the quality of life for those facing a life-limiting illness, death, and bereavement through patient and family-centred care, education, research, and advocacy.

Grief Support: Grief support services are provided by trained volunteers through one-on-one sessions or in group settings. Group programs provide a safe, facilitated environment where participants can explore and process grief using a variety of supportive tools and approaches.

Child and Teen Grief: Provides support and understanding through this grief process and permission to show their feelings openly and freely.

Advanced Care Planning: Advanced care planning can ensure wishes are followed and alleviate stress for family members, and prevent unnecessary family suffering and conflict. Physicians and other health care professionals also benefit from knowing that they are acting in accordance with your wishes.
