Family Programs for Children and Parents/Caregivers

Provided by Frog Hollow Neighbourhood House

Offers a range of family support services in a supportive, welcoming environment where children and caregivers can connect, build resilience, and enhance family well-being in the community.
Frog Hollow Neighborhood House programs are designed to provide positive child development, promote school readiness skills, and introduce families to the resources and supports in their community. They believe that children learn best through play. Children and their caregivers are encouraged to engage in new activities, such as learning songs and rhymes, and listening to stories.

Services include one-on-one support to find community resources, as well as programs such as the following:
  • Family Drop-In Program: Early literacy, play, arts & crafts and social time for caregivers with children ages 0–6
  • La Colmena: Weekly Spanish-language play & social group for Spanish-speaking families with children ages 0–5
  • Japanese Drop-in Group: A parent-led drop-in group for Japanese families and caregivers with children ages 0-5
  • The Huddle: Indigenous family drop-in with crafts, stories and cultural connection
  • My Tween and Me: Group program for parents/caregivers and tweens ages 7–12
  • Nobody's Perfect Parenting Program: Facilitated sessions supporting parents of young children
  • Season and special events: Frog in the Park, Harvest Festival, holiday celebrations, and cultural events
Please refer to the events calendar, which is regularly updated for events, recurring activities and drop-in opportunities.
