Multicultural services for seniors of different ethnic origins
The demand for senior services is growing rapidly as the population ages. Services range from educational, social, recreational programs, health promotion, cultural activities and senior mutual help groups. The following are among the various services SuccessBC has to offer:

Better at Home Program: Better at Home is designed to help seniors continue to live independently in their own homes and remain connected to their community. Services include Light Housekeeping, Transportation to appointments, Friendly Visits and Weekly grocery shopping trips. Services are offered in the communities of Vancouver Hastings-Sunrise and Surrey-Whalley.

Chinese meals on wheels: Supports seniors to enhance their quality of life by promoting healthy eating by providing a well-balanced, four-week Chinese menu.

The Seniors Quality of Life Outreach Project: Offers social activities on a drop-in basis for Chinese-speaking immigrants ages 55 and over, residing in the City of Vancouver.

Community Groups: Groups offer opportunities for clients to build their social connections and participate in the community. Families, women and seniors expand their social networks, increase their sense of belonging, and enhance their community integration through our interactive group activities.

Prescribing Wellness for Older Adults: Provides older adults in Vancouver a greater community inclusion, enhanced emotional well-being, and improved health outcomes through culturally appropriate services that bridge them to activities and resources in the local community.

S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Adult Day Programs: Supports seniors to stay healthy and happy in the community, which prevents premature hospitalization and/or institutionalization.

S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Assisted Living Residences: Offers assisted living services to support seniors who are relatively independent but require a little extra assistance. Assisted living offers a combination of both housing and health services.

S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Simon K.Y. Lee Seniors Care Home: This long-term care facility offers culturally appropriate professional care and supervision to adults in a supportive and secure environment.

Immigrant Seniors Go Digital: Provides a digital literacy exchange program. Class topics include Use of computers or tablets, Surf the Internet, Online safety and cybersecurity, Create an email account, Use of smartphones, Learn to create new address books, text messages.
