Offers programs to provide newcomers to Canada a successful transition
SUCCESS BC offers the following programs for newcomers to Canada:
Immigrant Settlement & Integration Program:
The Immigrant Settlement & Integration Program (ISIP) assists immigrants and their families learn about Canada's systems and services. ISIP offers opportunities for immigrants to develop English language skills, learn about Canada's labour market, network and develop professional and social networks, and settle into their local B.C. communities. Under the Immigrant Settlement & Integration Program, there is also an online service called ISIP Online which provides virtual settlement services.

Career Mentoring for SUCCESS:
If you are a new immigrant, the Career Mentoring for SUCCESS Program will bridge you to career success by providing you with the information you need in your field of expertise. Your mentor will provide you with information, support, and guidance to jumpstart your professional career in Canada. You will expand your knowledge about the key resources of your profession, the specific pathways to credential assessment, how to upgrade your education, and how to increase your opportunities to access the “hidden” job market.

Legal Clinics:
Run by the UBC Law Students' Legal Advice Program (LSLAP), these clinics provide legal advice to low-income individuals who do not qualify for legal aid. This service is provided by students from the UBC Faculty of Law and is supervised by professional lawyers. This service is offered infrequently at various times throughout the year. To receive notification of the current schedule, please contact ISIP at the Pender Service Centre. Please note, priority is given to eligible ISIP clients.

The Form Filling Clinic:
This clinic will be offered every month for S.U.C.C.E.S.S. members who are Naturalized Citizens and non-members who are Naturalized Citizens. This service is provided by trained volunteers. Registration is required. For non-members, donations are welcomed. Tax receipts will be offered to individuals who donate $20 or more. To become a S.U.C.C.E.S.S. member, please register at the S.U.C.C.E.S.S. front desk.

BC Settlement and Integration Services:
The BC Settlement and Integration Services (BCSIS) provides information and referral, resources, and support to assist clients to pursue pathways of citizenship, increase their ability to enter or thrive in the BC labour market, and to establish connections in the workplace and community. BCSIS is funded by the Ministry of Jobs, Tourism and Skills Training.

Active Engagement & Integration Project (Pre-Arrival):
Active Engagement and Integration Project (AEIP) is the first overseas initiative of S.U.C.C.E.S.S. which provides free pre-landing services to support the settlement, adaptation and integration of individuals moving to Canada. Funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), AEIP aims to facilitate a smooth transition for newcomers to Canada by providing services that promote community and labour market engagement prior to their departure.

  • Language Instructions for Newcomers to Canada (LINC)
  • Family & Youth Services, including a Multicultural Early Childhood Resource Centre in Coquitlam
  • Counselling services in the first language
