Hillside Gardens - Subsidized Housing

Provided by S.U.C.C.E.S.S.

Subsidized housing for families of ethnic minorities, immigrants and refugees
Hillside Gardens is a family complex located in Southeast Burnaby. It consists of 15 three-storey buildings providing apartment suites from two to four bedrooms. Many Hillside Gardens residents are new to Canada. The current tenant mix also consists of some long-term residents, including immigrants or refugee families with diverse multi-cultural backgrounds.

This project aims to provide the tenants with safe and supportive housing to transition into a new home and country easier for them. Through tenant support services, our ultimate goal is to encourage their independence and self-reliance.

Regular resident programs include a homework club for elementary students, adult ESL classes, cooking groups, health and educational workshops. In the summer, there are also children’s day camps, field trips and games carnival.
